Joe Wetherbee 1920-2009
"Joe’s art was unique, as was he. All of his work – his style – reflected his personal qualities: gentility, creativity, originality, warmth, and humor." Joe was my first mentor and a fine friend. He founded the Art Department at Wheatridge High School, was named Outstanding Teacher in 1958, and taught for 33 years, influencing and inspiring thousands. Joe remains highly respected and missed by all who had the fine opportunity to know him. This site was built in his honor: Uncle Toadee's Doodles.
